Our dad, brother and friend Jack “Beetle” Quintana passed away on November 24,2019. He was able to be home surrounded by family and free of pain in his last days, free of the shackles that have surrounded him for much of his life. Jack was born December 5, 1963 in Salt Lake City, UT to Beulah Gonzales and Norberto Quintana.

Most of his life was spent at the Utah State Prison, addiction was something Jack struggled with his entire life and ultimately took his life. We share this with you in hopes that sharing his story will encourage others to seek help and get treatment. You are worth it!

Despite his circumstances, Jack was a wonderful grandfather to his 7 grandkids and loved to be surrounded by his family. He loved to watch football, especially the Dallas Cowboys, listen to music and had an admiration for old cars. He will be especially missed by his two daughters and grandkids.

Jack is survived by his two daughters Amanda (Alfredo) Quintana, Monique Quintana – Briceno & Seven grandchildren. Siblings: Mario (Nary) Quintana, Irene (Mario) Quintana, Jerline (Rafa) Quintana, Shirley Quintana, Andy Quintana, Ralph Randall, Johnny Randall, numerous nieces, nephews & friends. Preceded in death by his parents Beulah Gonzalez and Norberto Quintana, brother Raymond Quintana & nephew Benny Quintana.  The family would like to thank First Choice Home & Health for the nurturing care they were able to provide Jack during his final days.
